I'd like to share pictures of the reels I have collected. A few are rare, most are old, some are commonplace, but all are intriguing in their own way.
In most cases, with the exception of a good cleaning to get rid of years of accumulated dust and oil residue, the reels are as they were found. As time permits, I will get around to making them all presentable. Some of the saltwater reels took more elaborate measures to get rid of salt build-up, but they, too, are original except as noted in my descriptions.
In my presentation of the reels, I am going to separate them, first by fresh or saltwater use, and then, by manufacturer.
I welcome any comments relative to the accuracy of my comments and descriptions of the reels. And, I am always looking to add reels to my collection, so feel free to contact me if you have some reels you are interested in selling or trading.
